I had a client request a Birthday/Engagement Cake for her fiance recently, and as the theme for their Engagement Party was ‘Cowboys & Indians’ I knew I wanted to do something a little different.
This is what I decided on.
A Cowboy Cake.
So simple, but stunningly effective. A double layer chocolate cake, filled with chocolate frosting, and then covered and decorated with Sugarpaste. A Cowboy Hat, Rifle, and Bandana complete the look.
I think the biggest compliment – was that almost 10 days later (yes the cake lasted that long!) was that it was still very moist and moresome.

It went well with ice-cream.
What a fun surprise it was! I was particularly surprised by how moist it was and I loved the chocolate lining the icing instead of traditional marzipan.
