Vintage Country Wedding Cake

I absolutely *loved* making this cake.

I think perhaps the fact that the client is also a friend & now a family member, that could have had something to do with it.

She gave me a picture of what she wanted, and I changed the colours to match her Country Themed wedding, set on her family farm in Hogsback, Eastern Cape.  The cake was Red Velvet on top, Choc in the middle and Carrot at the bottom.  YUM.

I also then made items of yumminess for the dessert table – Chocolate Brownies, Sugar Cookies, Cake Pops, Cupcakes and Caramel Tarts.  Other yummies included Heart Shaped Fudge, Lammingtons and Rocky Road.  A true feast.  I had an absolute ball putting together and decorating the Dessert Table – such fun!

An absolutely gorgeous wedding!

No 2 Racing Car Cake

A racing car cake is always a hit with little boys – and this one was no different.

YM 2 Race Track Cake

A rectangular Vanilla Cake, filled with Caramel Cream.

A no 2 ‘Racing Track’ (real cars were added later) and a few checkered flags and away you go.

Such fun – and so scrummy too!

Hello Kitty Cake

A very popular choice for little girls these days – Hello Kitty.
YM HK Round

This one was ordered, together with Hello Kitty Cupcakes and also Sugar Cookies.

I usually try and stay away from doing ‘cartoon characters’ because they are quite difficult to replicate exactly I was however quite happy with the outcome of this one.

A Red Velvet Cake, with Cream Cheese Frosting.

The cupcakes were Vanilla with Buttercream Frosting, and then Vanilla Sugar Cookies.
