This is a wedding cake that I did in December. My client sent me a picture of what she wanted and said it was to look ‘exactly’ like the pic. So, that’s what I did.
I loved making this cake – it was so stylish in it’s simplicity, yet still had the wow factor. The 3 tiers were Red Velvet, Chocolate and Carrot at the bottom. The only problem I had was the heat. The wedding at was the seaside and it was hot and very humid. So the sugarpaste went from hard to soft, the hearts moved and it was a bit of a stressful day for me. But i think it still came out ok.
I also made mini cupcakes decorated with a swirl of Vanilla Buttercream, sprinkles and rice paper hearts. Too gorgeous.
I took the liberty of taking some photo’s of the venue and tables as I was struck by the absolute beauty of the venue – a marquee on a bowling green. White, silver and hints of pink/purple.
The attention to detail is really what amazed me.
And then the Candy Bar (the brides name was Candice). Such an awesome idea.
Gorgeous yes?
