I was recently requested to make a birthday cake for a Survivor Themed Birthday Party. My client wanted the skull of a crocodile . Hmmm, wasn’t too sure about that so his next choice was a Swamp Cake.

Now that was doable. Especially as I had inspiration in the form of a Jungle Cake, from the one and only Cake Boss.

A few tweaks here and there and presto – a Swamp Cake.

Two Tier Survivor Swamp Cake

Complete with a croc with really big teeth, a frog, a long slimey snake and a few other bugs.

The cake itself was double chocolate with chocolate buttercream frosting for the bottom tier, with vanilla with caramel centre for the top tier.

The big hug I received from my client upon delivery was all I needed to know I’d hit the nail on the head.
