How to | Chocolate Dipped Marshmallows

Earlier this week I featured my daughters Rainbow Party, and I promised there would be some “Tips & Trick’s” to follow.

I’m going to start by sharing How To make these completely moreish Chocolate Dipped Marshmallows.

Rainbow Marshmallows

Rainbow Marshmallows

You Will Need:

Bag of Marshmallows
Bar of Milk or Dark Chocolate
M&M’s (or smarties)

How To:

Simply arrange you marshmallows on a large plate or tray.
Break your chocolate into squares and place in a microwave safe bowl, and place in the microwave for a couple of minutes. The time the chocolate takes to melt is completely dependent on the wattage of your microwave. I would check every 30 seconds to be on the safe side.
Once the chocolate is melted stir quickly to get rid of any tiny lumps.

Then the FUN begins!

Simply dip the top of the marshmallow (obviously a flat side) into the chocolate, and place bottom side down on the plate. Do a few in quick succession and then start decorating.
Place the M&M (or smartie) in the middle of the marshmallow.
You need to do this whilst the chocolate is still slightly soft in order for the M&M to stick.

Leave to set (away from little fingers) and then serve.

So easy and so effective

So easy and so effective

I like to use M&M’s as their colours are vibrant.

This is also a super easy sweety treat for the kiddies to make!

Under The Sea Cupcakes

One of my recent orders was for Under The Sea Cupcakes.

And this is what I made. I decided to use for bright colours and only only colour per ‘animal’, so that it would give the ‘wow’ effect when on the table.

And wow it did. My client was absolutely delighted with them and couldn’t wait to show her colleagues! I have to say that the octopus was definately my favourite of them all!

For the frosting, I used a combo of a blue and white swirl to make it look like the sea.

I had a ball making these and was thrilled with the outcome!

Rainbow Party

This past weekend it was my daughter’s 7th Birthday. A couple of months ago she decided that she wanted a Rainbow Unicorn Party. So that is what we did. We had such fun planning everything. My daughter assisted me with all the goodies – from what to say on the invite, to the sweeties on the table and also the decor of her cake.

So i thought I would share the party with you, including the cake and eats. I shall be doing a separate post with the tips and tricks for the eats, and creating the Rainbow Invites, Buntings etc.

Baby Shower Cake Pops

Cake Pops are just divine. Not too much cake, or too little. No mound of icing, just a nice hard layer of chocolate with a bit of heaven inside.

Bunting Baby Shower Cupcakes

A friend is expecting her first baby, and I was asked to make the cupcakes for her baby shower. She is very creative herself, and I know how much she loves buntings (don’t we all?).

Aren’t they cute?

I simply too twine and made the butings from washi tape – and tied them round toothpicks. So effective, yet so simple.

The balance of the cuppies were Vanilla Caramel simply adorned with Sugarpaste Buttons & B’s.

Rainbow Cake

Well, actually a Pegasus Cake (which was added upon delivery).

A dark chocolate 10” cake, filled with chocolate ganache.

Decor was relatively simply, as the Pegasus that was being added was rather large.

Covered and decorated with Sugarpaste.

I loved the simplicity and the colours – so very pretty and girly.

Garden Wedding Cake & Cupcakes

In September (yes last year! am very behind with posting) I did a Garden Wedding Cake and Cupcakes.

My brief was brief. A colourful garden wedding. Cake & cupcakes to match.

What fun I had with this. The wedding cake was carrot (the groom’s favourite) and the cupcakes were an assortment of vanilla caramel, red velvet, chocolate and carrot.
